An Irish Christmas: Songs and Music from West Cork, Legacy's latest recording, is a collaboration with longtime friend Jim Flanagan of Ballyvourney, Co. Cork. An Irish Christmas presents an array of songs for the Christmas season in West Cork and beyond, including nativity, St. Stephens Day traditions of 'going on the wren', and songs the new year. Legacy's forte of deftly played dance tunes with holiday themes garnish this midwinter collection. Featuring Justin Murphy, Valerie Plested, Don Penzien, and joined by Jim Flanagan, An Irish Christmas is sure to bring you a new holiday tradition. Liner notes for the recording are here.
